We’ve had the opportunity to work with the Edmonton Police Service over many years across a wide range of creative and strategic projects. From public awareness campaigns to internal communications, policy education, and their Annual Report, our work with EPS has touched nearly every corner of their communication needs.

What began primarily as traditional print and campaign-based work has expanded into digital and social media, evolving alongside the needs of the organization and the community they serve. Most recently, that evolution included the complete transformation of their Annual Report from a printed piece to a fully digital experience.

Digital Annual Report

In 2023, EPS made the decision to move their Annual Report from a traditional print format to an online platform. We designed and developed a fully custom WordPress website to house the report, bringing the content to life through an engaging and interactive user experience.

Using modular content blocks, animation, and scroll-triggered reveals, we built a dynamic site that allows users to explore key information in a way that feels modern, transparent, and easy to navigate. The result is a forward-thinking digital solution that aligns with EPS’s goals of accessibility and innovation.

Prioritizing Accessibility

To ensure the site was inclusive and usable for a broad audience, we implemented the UserWay accessibility plugin. This tool helps support compliance with WCAG guidelines and offers users personalized controls – such as adjusting contrast, text size, and navigation features – to suit their needs. Making accessibility a foundational element reinforces EPS’s commitment to equity and public service.

Video as Storytelling

The annual report integrates original video content to deepen storytelling and enhance user engagement. These videos – paired with written articles – bring key themes to life, offering a more immersive way for visitors to connect with EPS’s initiatives, community impact, and forward vision. The combination of motion and editorial content adds dimension and depth to the digital report experience.

Our campaign work with EPS has spanned both public-facing and internal communications. These have included brochures, educational print materials, billboards, awareness campaigns, and internal initiatives – each with its own tone, goals, and creative strategy.
